My first experience with vMA was very painful. I needed to transfer some files to it but found that the only way to do so, at first glance, is using some CD/ISO image!? Come on, I'm not going to burn a CD just for the purpose of transfer some mere files!
Then I looked a little bit further and found that there's something called vcli (or something like this) in a pdf file. Well, I've spent about 15 minutes on the vifs but I didn't get the most basic of it. Another 30 minutes later I at last understood what it's trying to say and managed to list files in a datastore. But no matter what I do, it just refused to "copy"! Always error! And by the way, it seems it's not possible to copy multiples files using the "-c" option! What's this stupid vcli?
Luckily, I was able to find an FTP server to which I could upload files. And luckily again, there's a ftp client in vMA. So finally, I managed to transfer files to vMA by this mean!
I don't know for you, but the only and best way is FTP, provided you could either find some FTP servers to which you have write permission, or you could set up one without spending too much time!
Wha's your opinion?
Or I really should have burnt the damned CD!!!
